Luca BiondolilloChief Communications OfficerMSC Cruises

As Chief Communications Officer, Luca Biondolillo oversees MSC Cruises’ communication activities from the Company’s corporate HQ in Geneva, Switzerland. Working closely with MSC Cruises’ Executive Chairman, CEO and country managers, Luca is in charge of developing and implementing MSC Cruises’ communication strategies globally, in line with the Company’s business objectives.

Beyond his role at MSC Cruises, Luca is highly involved in the international cruise industry’s efforts to promote cruising and safeguard its reputation. He notably co-chairs CLIA’s European Communications & Public Affairs Advisory Committee, which groups the communication directors of key international cruise lines operating in Europe. Luca is also Vice President and member of the Board of the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD).

A seasoned communications executive, Luca has more than 20 years of experience managing reputation, issues and crises within global, multi-cultural environments in both developed and emerging markets. His experience spans a broad range of industries including retail, manufacturing, consumer goods, luxury, shipping, travel & leisure and energy.

Prior to joining MSC Cruises, Luca was Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Benetton Group. He had joined from Luxottica Group, where he was first Director of Corporate & Financial Communications and then Senior Vice President International Communications.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing Management from Baruch College, City University of New York.
