Move over, Millennials. Generation Z is projected to be the largest generation in 2020 and its oldest members are now entering the workforce. Not simply a mirror image of Millennials, Generation Z consumers have their own distinct preferences and behaviors. These digital natives are already making their own travel purchases and substantially influencing the travel decisions of family members. Coming after them is Generation Alpha, projected to reach 2 billion in size in 2020. Born after 2010, these mega-influencers are expected to be the wealthiest and longest-living generation and are already having a major impact on family travel decisions.
This session will explore what the rise of Generation Z and Generation Alpha means for the travel industry, key factors that are important to them in making travel decisions, and what cruise lines and others are doing to attract them
