Frank Weber is the Senior Vice President, Hotel Operations at Virgin Voyages, Virgin’s exciting new cruise line business based in South Florida.
Virgin Voyages will deliver an Epic Sea Change in the global cruising industry by redefining the cruising experience for good and offering both cruisers and non-cruisers an irresistible new way to travel. The business is building four new beautiful mid-size ships with Italian shipyard Fincantieri which are slated for delivery in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Frank joined Virgin Voyages in April 2015, the first year of the company’s launch. He leads and oversees the operational planning & design, execution and management of all hotel administration, entertainment, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, casino, retail, wellness/spa and onboard revenue operations onboard all ships. His priority is to create and design innovative dining, entertainment and operational concepts and infrastructure that are distinctly Virgin, and deliver the brilliant guest experience the brand is so famous for in these areas.
With more than 25 years of cruise line hospitality experience, before joining Virgin Voyages, Frank was Vice President, Product Development at Norwegian Cruise Line. In this role, he oversaw concept and program development for all hotel services and venues for a fleet of 13 ships. He was responsible for driving innovation across dining and entertainment areas for all new ship builds, and introduced many new exclusive dining and entertainment concepts and partnerships to improve guest experience, guest satisfaction and market position.
Frank also spent 10 years as Vice President Food and Beverage at Royal Caribbean International where he led all global food and beverage operations. He designed, developed and managed industry leading concepts, programs and products to drive revenue and increase guest satisfaction. He was a key creative driver of the industry changing Oasis of the Seas. Frank delivered many ‘firsts’ in his time there, including restaurant traffic management systems and farm-to-table concepts.
He has won numerous hospitality and cruise industry awards for operational excellence, innovation and commitment to quality for his innovative designs, partnerships and programs.
Frank was born and raised in Germany but has called Miami home for 20 years. A proud grandfather, Frank’s passionate about food and travel, and spends a large chunk of his life cooking, and exploring bar and restaurant concepts around the world. He’s a keen biker and loves road trips on his Harley-Davidson Road King Classic.
