Laurens van den Oever is the CMO at ForwardKeys, a company which provides market insight for traveller-focused businesses, by analysing more than 17m flight booking transactions a day, drawing data from all major global air reservation systems and selected airlines and tour operators. This information is enhanced with further independent data sets, including flight search and data science to paint a picture of who is travelling where and when.
Laurens believes flight data analytics, based on near real-time updates, could make a difference for Cruise operators to anticipate the impact of events, to understand the corridors travellers are using to reach their destination, to better manage traffic flows, and to improve the ROI of marketing efforts by anticipating future market trends.
He has been instrumental in building up ForwardKeys' client portfolio and designing data intelligence services for specific travel industry segments such as travel retail, airports and hotels.
Laurens holds a master degree in Marketing and a bachelor in Tourism Management Consultancy from the university of Breda – the Netherlands.
