John Tercek has created shoreside infrastructure projects and ventures to support Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.'s strategic growth objectives since 1999. Mr. Tercek created his position and department in Royal Caribbean, and leads the development and management of the cruise company's interests in ports and commercial facilities around the world. Most recently, Mr. Tercek oversaw the successful redevelopment and opening of the Historic Port of Falmouth in Jamaica, the first thematic cruise port in the Caribbean that was recognized as Seatrade Insider's 2011 Port of the Year.
John Tercek was a partner in a Wall Street real estate investment firm in the 1980s before becoming a principal in several property development firms in the 1990s. His professional career includes financing and developing more than US$2.0 billion of retail, residential and commercial properties, co-generation power projects, and port infrastructure projects throughout America, Europe and the Caribbean.
Tercek holds a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. degree from Fordham University Law School. He is a licensed attorney in New York State.
