Troy Martin leads the Marketing & Business Development initiatives for Miami Air International, the premier private airline, operating a fleet of Boeing 737s. The company recently marked 25 years of providing completely customized travel experiences for cruise line guests, professional sports teams, dignitaries, entertainers, and just about any large group looking for authentic services that reflect their own brand and values.
For over 25 years, Troy has been breaking new ground across the travel industry; in the cruise industry at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, in commercial aviation at American Airlines, and in travel technology, marketing, and distribution at Sabre, as well as his current role in private aviation at Miami Air. He created the first cruise line consulting team and practice at Sabre Travel Network, leading that team through rapid growth that secured the company's leadership position. He also led Sabre's initiatives for development of the Online Travel Agency (OTA) segment, and introduced the first online affiliate program for brick and mortar travel agencies, under the Travelocity brand. At RCCL, he led that team that revolutionized air/sea programs with the introduction of ChoiceAir, the first online packaging of fly/cruise programs, that put the guests' desires first while making life easier for travel partners and re-igniting the use of air as a strategic marketing tool in selling cruise vacations.
Having traveled, studied, lived, and worked around the globe, he is passionate about connecting with - and learning from - customers and team members. He translates those perspectives into customer-centric strategy, driven by teams that share his passion for building on the brand while delighting customers.
Troy earned his MBA from Southern Methodist University and he speaks Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. He is also the President of the Air Charter Association of North America.
