Dr. Wang Hong is currently party secretary of Shanghai BaoShan Committee of the CPC; professor of College of Business Management and Economics, Shanghai University of Engineering Science; doctoral supervisor of Shanghai JiaoTong University, Shanghai Finance and Economics University, and Shanghai University. She was born in Shanghai in April, 1961. She received her Ph.D degree in business administration in Shanghai JiaoTong University, and has been a post doctorate engaged in applied economics in FuDan University. She also enjoys special allowance awarded by China State Council. Besides that, she was elected delegate of the 19th National Congress of CPPC, the 11th Shanghai Municipal Congress of CPPC, the 10th, 11th, 14th and 15th of Shanghai People's Congress respectively. Dr. Wang is nominated as a member of state-level talent pool.
She acts as deputy director of Supervision Committee of Business Administration in Institutions of Higher Education, China Ministry of Education, for quite many years. Prior to that, she served as deputy director of Supervision Committee of Management Science and Engineering in Institutions of Higher Education, China Ministry of Education. So far, she has earned as many titles as Elite Scholar of the New Era subsidized by China Ministry of Education, ShuGuang Scholar, a leading scholar in Shanghai, an outstanding leader of academic research, director of a state-level Social Security Discipline research team, a team leader of state –level discipline of Business Administration, a team leader of a key discipline of Social Security at the municipal level, and director of projects of Logistics Management and Business Administration, which is part of a key undergraduate disciplinary development program in Shanghai.
She dedicates herself to the cause of education and research, winning a series of prizes and awards as follows: the 2nd prize of Teaching Achievements Award; Special Award of Teaching Achievements in Shanghai, and ten other first prizes. Apart from that, she was awarded honors of Distinguished Young Teacher of Institutions of Higher Education in Shanghai in the first three contests held in 1991, 1993 and 1995 respectively. She was also awarded with Excellent Teacher Prize in 1995 and nominated as one of a hundred prominent women teachers in Shanghai in the past sixty years ever since the establishment of People's republic of China.
Dr.Wang is in charge of five leading projects ranging from National Social Science Foundation of China, Major Program of National Soft Science Foundation of China, Major Programs of Philosophy and Social Science of Ministry of Education China, complete with other 30 projects at a state and municipal level. Over 70 essays and books have gone into print, most of which are included in EI and ISTP. Moreover, twenty and more projects have won such awards as the first prize in Shanghai Municipal Policy Decision Consultation Award; the second prize in Shanghai Science Innovation Progress Award, the second prize in Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Award respectively, Excellence Award in Shanghai DengXiaoPing Theory Study and Promotion; Excellence Award in Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Internal Discussion; Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award; and the first prize in Shanghai Education and Academic Research Award and the like.
