Var Provence Cruise Club
After completing a bachelor's degree in ancient litterature in Montreal, Anne-Marie worked for REED MIDEM in Paris as International Sales Manager. In 2001, following her Master's degree in Tourism Economy, she joined the Var Chamber of Commerce as Marketing Manager at Toulon-Hyères Airport, and Head of the Var Provence Cruise Club (VPCC) launched in 2008.
As a unique point of entry for cruise lines, operators and professionals, her main role at VPCC is to grow the cruise activity by promoting the attractiveness of the destination, its 12 ports network. She endeavours in developing new excursion ideas to enhance the guest experience ashore.
Var Provence was awarded best destination of the Year in 2010 and its "Cruise Friendly" welcome quality label - comprising 300 tourism providers in 6 cities - was finalist at the Seatrade Cruise Awards 2017 for "Best Marketing Initiative of the Year".
Anne-Marie Blum is also actively involved on a regional level in Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur by currently supervising a regional economic impact survey of the cruise activity in 2017, over 16 maritime and 3 river cruise ports on a survey sample totalling 5 200 cruise passengers/crew members. She is also part of several work groups in France (CruiseLab, French Med Ports) working closely with stakeholders such as Atout France, CLIA and the French Maritime Cluster to help increase the impact awareness of the cruise business activity in France both on a national and international scale.
